You probably are familiar with it s the stuff that makes curry yellow. But are you aware of how powerful this little root truly is?

Turmeric has been used by the Chinese and Indian systems of medicine for thousands of years as an anti-inflammatory. Studies have shown that turmeric is comparable to hydrocortisone and Motrin- only without the toxic side effects like ulcers and intestinal bleeding.

It has also been shown to treat inflammatory bowel disease, provide relief for those w/ rheumatoid arthritis, help cystric fibrosis sufferers and even help prevent cancer, protect against Alzheimer’s, lower cholesterol, improve liver function and more.

It inhibits cancer cell growth and metastases by acting against transcription factors- which are what regulates all the genes needed for tumors to form. When those factors are turned off then so are some of the genes involved in the growth and invasion of cancer cells.

INGREDIENTS
– 4 inch piece of fresh grated turmeric (or 2 tsp. organic dried turmeric)
– 3 inch piece of fresh grated ginger (or 1 tsp of organic powdered ginger)
– 3 organic lemons, peeled and de-seeded
– Some cayenne
– 4 cups of coconut water

METHOD:
Put the turmeric, ginger and lemons into a high powered blender (such as a VitaMix, BlendTech or Ninja) with about 1/2-1 cup of coconut water. OR juice the ginger, turmeric and lemons.

Then add the rest of the coconut water and mix.

Add cayenne if more spice is desired or add some honey if you want some sweetness
